How to Add a Countdown Timer to Homepage

Create urgency on your store's most important page with a one-time countdown timer.

What You'll Need​

  • A specific end date and time for your promotion
  • Your campaign message and call-to-action button text

Step-by-Step Instructions​

  1. Navigate to Timers: From the app dashboard, click "Timers" in the main navigation menu.
  2. Create a new timer: Click the "Create timer" button.
  3. Choose a template: Select the "Top" template. This will position your timer at the top of the homepage.
  4. Configure Basic Settings:
    • Timer name: Enter "Homepage Countdown" (internal use only).
    • Timer type: Select "One-time (fixed end date)".
  5. Set the expiration: In the "One-time Timer Configuration" section:
    • Set your desired End date (e.g., 2024-12-25 for Christmas).
    • Set your desired End time (e.g., 23:59:00).
  6. Add your content: In the "Content" section:
    • Timer title: "Christmas Sale Ends In"
    • Timer description: "Up to 50% off everything!"
    • Button text: "Shop Now"
    • Button URL: "/collections/christmas-sale"
  7. Set targeting: In the "Targeting" section, check "Home page" under "Show on pages".
  8. Activate and save: Ensure the "Active" checkbox in the preview panel is checked, then click "Save".

Result: Your countdown timer will appear at the top of your homepage and count down to the specified date and time.
