How to Add a Timer to a Product Page

Drive conversions by adding urgency directly on product pages.

Two Methods​

You can add timers to product pages using either Embed mode (automatic) or App Block mode (manual placement).

Method A: Using Embed Mode (Simpler)​

  1. Create or edit a timer: Navigate to your timer settings.
  2. Set layout: In the "Layout & Positioning" section, set Layout to "Product".
  3. Configure targeting: In the "Targeting" section:
    • Leave "Show on pages" unchecked for product-specific targeting.
    • Use "Selected products" to choose which products display the timer.
    • Click "Choose Products" and select the products from the resource picker.
    • Alternatively, use "Selected collections" to show the timer on all products in specific collections.
  4. Save: Click "Save" to apply your changes.

The timer will automatically appear on the selected product pages, typically near the product title.

Method B: Using App Block Mode (More Control)​

  1. Get the Timer ID: In your timer settings, locate the Timer ID in the "Targeting" section. Click the copy button next to it.
  2. Set theme editor type: In the "Targeting" section, select "Apps block" as the "Theme editor type".
  3. Save your timer: Click "Save" to update the timer settings.
  4. Open theme editor: Go to Online Store > Themes > Customize.
  5. Add the app block: Navigate to a product page in the theme editor. Click "Add block" and find "Ultima Countdown Timer" under the "Apps" section.
  6. Enter the Timer ID: In the block settings, paste the Timer ID you copied earlier.
  7. Save the theme: Click "Save" in the theme editor.

Result: The timer appears exactly where you placed the block on your product pages.
